We are looking for an experienced Workflow Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in building, deploying, and maintaining production-grade automation workflows, with n8n as the primary tool. This role is for one of our client companies, a growing Netherlands-based digital platform company that works with international clients while also building and scaling its own internal products. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex process challenges, integrating multiple systems, and transforming manual workflows into scalable and reliable automation solutions.
- Build, deploy, and maintain complex automation workflows using n8n - Automate end-to-end business processes across multiple systems and tools - Integrate APIs, webhooks, databases, and third-party SaaS platforms - Handle workflow logic such as conditions, branching, error handling, retries, and logging - Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing automation workflows - Translate business requirements into reliable, scalable automation solutions - Document workflows and communicate technical concepts clearly
- Proven experience as a Workflow Automation Engineer / Automation Engineer - Strong hands-on experience with n8n (real deployment experience required) - Experience building complex, multi-step automation workflows - Solid understanding of REST APIs, webhooks, JSON, and authentication - Experience with low-code automation platforms - Basic scripting skills (JavaScript preferred) - Comfortable working with databases (SQL or NoSQL) - Able to work independently and deliver production-ready solutions
