About the role
  • Take technical ownership of cockpit software architecture and integration.
  • Collaborate closely with India-based engineering teams and China-based Tier-1 suppliers.
  • Work across Android IVI applications, QNX cluster applications, middleware, SDKs, vehicle interfaces, and HMI layers.
  • Work with Android SDK, Android Framework, and Automotive Car APIs.
  • Integrate and work with VHAL, OEM middleware, diagnostics, and system services.
  • Work on QNX cluster applications, including HMI, business logic, IPC, and graphics/display pipelines.
  • Support integration of tell-tales, warnings, ADAS visuals, and diagnostic displays.
  • Analyse system behaviour, vehicle data, and software issues.
  • Perform debugging and root cause analysis during development and validation.
  • Collaborate with system engineering, software integration, and validation teams.
  • Participate in real-world vehicle testing and validation activities in China.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation and knowledge repositories.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience in automotive cockpit/IVI software development or integration.
  • Strong understanding of automotive cockpit architecture.
  • Experience with Android IVI and Android Automotive OS.
  • Strong knowledge of Android SDK, Android Framework, Automotive Car APIs, and VHAL.
  • Experience with QNX-based cluster applications.
  • Understanding of HMI, business logic, IPC, graphics/display pipeline, and vehicle interfaces.
  • Experience with ADAS visualisation, tell-tales, warnings, and diagnostic displays is highly preferred.
  • Experience with middleware and system integration.
  • Strong debugging and root cause analysis skills.
  • Automotive experience is highly preferred.
  • Good Chinese and English communication skills, oral and written.
  • Willingness to travel frequently or on a need basis to Huizhou is a must.
  • Preferred location: Huzhou; second preference Shenzhen.
