Why did a strong candidate get a low trust score?
Usually because the CV is written loosely rather than because anything is wrong. Contract work, parallel roles and rounded dates all read as inconsistencies.

Common innocent causes
- Contract or agency work that genuinely overlaps two employers.
- Dates rounded to years, so a three-month gap looks like a year.
- A promotion listed as a separate role at the same company.
- Founder or freelance periods with no formal employer.
What to do about it
Ask. A trust score exists to tell you which two minutes of the interview to spend on clarification — not to screen anyone out. It is never a reason on its own to reject a candidate.
