How do I delete candidate data?

Deleting a role deletes its scorecards. Deleting an account queues a permanent purge that completes within 30 days, with a grace window in case it was a mistake.

Deleting at each level

A candidate — removes the person and their scorecards from that role.
A role — removes the role and every scorecard produced under it.
The account — queues an irreversible purge of personal data.

How long it takes

Account deletion takes effect immediately — subsequent authenticated requests fail — and queues a permanent purge that runs after a 30-day grace window. Erasure completes inside the 30-day service level either way.

The grace period exists so an account deleted by mistake can be recovered by contacting support before the purge runs. After it runs, nothing can be restored.

Export what you need first — scorecards remain exportable for 30 days after termination. The privacy policy sets out retention for every category of data.

For candidates you uploaded, you are the controller and we act on your instruction — action the request in the product. For candidates who submitted through a HyreTech-hosted talent-pool page we are a joint controller and act on requests directly; send them to privacy@hyretech.ai.
